BIO
Eeva Karhu (b. 1980, Kirkkonummi) is a Finnish photographic artist whose works explore the passage of time, light, and changes in nature. She utilizes multiple exposure techniques to capture the cyclical nature of time and reflect on the role of perception and cognition in art. Karhu’s works have been widely exhibited both in Finland and internationally, including in Berlin, London, Paris, and Stockholm.
Karhu earned her Master of Arts degree from Aalto University in 2014 and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Her works are part of several prestigious collections, including the Helsinki Art Museum (HAM) and the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma.
In 2020, Karhu released the book Polku – Path, offering an in-depth look into her layered photography and artistic vision.
Karhu is represented internationally by Persons Projects gallery in Berlin and Purdy Hicks Gallery in London.

Eeva Karhu (s. 1980, Kirkkonummi) on suomalainen valokuvataiteilija, jonka teokset tutkivat ajan kulkua, valoa ja luonnon muutoksia. Hän hyödyntää päällekkäisvalotusta tallentaakseen ajan syklisyyttä ja pohtii havaintojen sekä kognition merkitystä taiteessaan. Karhun teoksia on esitelty laajasti sekä kotimaassa että kansainvälisesti, muun muassa Berliinissä, Lontoossa, Pariisissa ja Tukholmassa.
Karhu valmistui Taiteen maisteriksi Aalto-yliopistosta vuonna 2014 ja on osallistunut lukuisiin yksityis- ja ryhmänäyttelyihin. Hänen teoksiaan löytyy useista kokoelmista, kuten Helsingin kaupungin taidemuseosta (HAM) ja Nykytaiteen museo Kiasmasta.
Vuonna 2020 julkaistiin Karhun taidetta esittelevä kirja “Polku – Path”, joka tarjoaa syvällisen katsauksen hänen kerroksellisiin valokuviinsa ja taiteelliseen näkemykseensä.
Karhua edustavat kansainvälisesti Persons Projects -galleria Berliinissä ja Purdy Hicks Gallery Lontoossa.
